The Tweed region will be showcased on Weekend Sunrise this weekend thanks to investment by the NSW Government.

The vibrant destination offers stunning beaches, a spectacular hinterland, world-class restaurants and talented local producers.

Weather presenter James Tobin will visit the region during JT Travels NSW, a recurring monthly segment created in partnership with the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.

Member for Tweed Geoff Provest said the JT Travels NSW investment was an opportunity to highlight the attractions that make regional NSW so appealing to visitors.

“Weekend Sunrise will showcase the spirit of the Tweed region’s charming communities and explore some of the experiences that make them must-visit NSW destinations,” Mr Provest said.

“Many of our unique tourism operators and iconic locations will be profiled, putting them front of mind for holidaymakers around the country.

“We know that viewers respond positively to broadcast integrations because they value being taken behind the scenes by trusted hosts to learn more about the places and faces of NSW. Bookings, enquiries and social followers all increase after such coverage.”

Weekend Sunrise will broadcast on Network Seven from Tumbulgum on Saturday 3 September and Kingscliff on Sunday 4 September from 7am.

Weekend Sunrise is one of Australia’s highest rating national breakfast programs, with an average audience reach of 1.2 million each weekend. Regional NSW tourism destinations and experiences will be featured on the JT Travels series throughout 2022
