Member for Tweed Geoff Provest MP has today confirmed the return of the world’s largest female participation surf event ‘Seas The Day’, is set to return to Kingscliff Beach from 21-22 June 2025.

This iconic event will be hosted on our beautiful Tweed coastline and is supported by a $100,000 grant awarded by the NSW Government.

In its third year, ‘Seas The Day’ aims to encourage women of all skill levels to compete in a pressure-free environment.

The festival is free to attend and will feature workshops, screenings, live music and entertainment, as well as guest speakers, including elite female athletes and Olympians discussing topics, such as women in surf industry careers.

Seven-time World Champion surfer Layne Beachley will also return to host her popular wellness program ‘Awake Academy.’

Events like this put the Tweed Coast on the map not only as a place to visit and place to catch a world-class wave but also as a place to come and enjoy major events and the beautiful sun, sand and surf that the area is well known for.
