Community sporting organisations across the Tweed are encouraged to apply for a share of funding through the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grant Program, with applications now open.

This year’s Local Sport Grant Program offers grants ranging from $2,000 to $20,000, with up to $50,000 available in each NSW electorate.

Funding will support projects that increase participation and retention in sport, create more inclusive opportunities for under-represented groups, and strengthen the long-term sustainability, capability and facilities of community sporting organisations.

“Community sporting clubs are the heart of our local communities, bringing people together and promoting active, healthy lifestyles,” Mr Provest said.

Applications close 1pm, Monday, 17 August. Visit https://www.sport.nsw.gov.au/grants/local-sport-grant-program for further information and to apply.
