Three new probationary constables will commence duties across the Tweed/Byron Police District after new officers attested at a formal ceremony at the Goulburn Police Academy on Friday, 8 December.
Member for Tweed Geoff Provest MP welcomed the new police officers to the Tweed.
“Christmas and New year in the Tweed is in much safer hands with more officers joining the ranks,” Mr Provest said.
“Coming into the holiday period, this is a timely reminder that there is no break for our police who will be serving the community through Christmas and New Year.”
“Please share a thought for those officers forgoing time with their friends and family to keep us safe over the holidays,” Mr Provest said.
“Their commitment to fostering a safe and thriving environment is invaluable, and we want each and every officer to know that their efforts are deeply appreciated.”
