Flood-impacted medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organisations in Tweed are reminded to apply for the Northern Rivers Medium Size Business for up to $200,000 in funding.
Member for Tweed Geoff Provest said the medium business grant is designed to employers in Tweed meet the cost of getting their operations back up and running.
“Medium-sized businesses power the Northern Rivers economy, employing many locals and keeping local supply chains in motion, so helping them reopen their doors secures jobs for the region,” Mr Provest said.
“Businesses that employ a minimum of 21 and less than 200 full-time equivalent staff members, as at 22 February 2022, can apply for up to $200,000 under this program.
“This funding will support businesses for things like cleaning up premises, disposing of spoiled goods, building repairs, leasing of temporary premises, and purchasing and hiring equipment.”
Deputy Premier Paul Toole said the NSW Government was committed to delivering support where it was most needed most across the Northern Rivers communities.
“The NSW Government has committed nearly $1.6 billion in support to flood-affected communities, including the small businesses grants and now the medium business grants,” Mr Toole said.
“We’re providing up to $200,000 for Northern Rivers medium-sized businesses in the Ballina, Byron, Clarence Valley, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Tweed local government areas, where 90 per cent of the State’s flood-impacted commercial properties are located.”
