Nationals Member for Tweed, Geoff Provest MP is encouraging Tweed Surf Clubs to apply for a share of $5.5 million through the Surf Club Facility Program.
The program provides grants of up to $1 million to help surf clubs upgrade, rebuild and future-proof the facilities that play a vital role in keeping our beaches safe.
Funding is available across three categories, supporting projects from early-stage planning and design through to construction and completion.
This year’s program places a strong focus on climate resilience, helping clubs prepare for extreme weather and severe storm events, while also encouraging greater participation so more people from all backgrounds can get involved in surf life saving.
“Our surf lifesavers do an incredible job protecting our communities.”
“Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment deserve to be matched by outstanding facilities that support the vital work they do every day,” Mr Provest said.
