Border closure-bruised Tweed hospitality businesses have received a boost with the Nationals in NSW Government issuing all Tweed adults additional $25 Dine & Discover vouchers, according to Tweed Nationals MP Geoff Provest.

“We know how popular these vouchers are in the Tweed from the huge take up in the first edition issue earlier this year and with Christmas and the holidays around the corner,  I encourage everyone to claim and spend in the Tweed their extra $25 Dine and extra $25 Discover voucher,” Mr Provest said.

“If we all do that, it means millions of extra dollars for cafes and restaurants on our side of the border and more Tweed jobs.”

The Nationals in NSW Government scheme, which is not available to Queenslanders, provides each applicant with vouchers to be spent at participating NSW dining, hospitality and entertainment venues.

People who did not claim in the initial allocation are entitled to three of each voucher worth a total of $150 per person.

People who did take advantage of the scheme and are digital customers will have the new vouchers automatically delivered to their Service NSW app which they may need to update.

New customers should contact Service NSW via service.nsw.gov.au or by calling 13 77 88. The agency is happy to provide paper vouchers for people who prefer this method. The app and the web site can also be used to find participating businesses.

More than 15,000 businesses and 4.8 million customers have registered for the Dine & Discover NSW program, with almost $276 million vouchers used so far.

Participating registered businesses do not need to re-register, while those who want to join the program are encouraged to sign up now, download the Service NSW for Business app and get ready to redeem.

Dine & Discover NSW vouchers can now be used seven days a week, including public holidays, and are valid to 30 June 2022.
