Tweed residents affected by the 2002 flood event are being reminded to register for the NSW Government’s Resilient Homes Program before applications close at the end of March.
“If your home was flooded in 2022, you may be eligible for a Resilient Measures grant, but you have only until March 31, 2026, to get any new applications in,” Nationals Member for Tweed, Geoff Provest said.
“I want to make sure that every individual and family who is eligible for support is reached, especially with the deadline quickly approaching.”
“The Resilient Homes Program has a range of supports to help the flood-affected homeowners to improve the safety and resilience of their homes.”
“It is imperative that residents register for the program, even if they are unsure whether they qualify—please do not attempt to assess your own eligibility,” Mr Provest said.

Mr Provest also reminded residents that applications for the Repair to Return Program will also close on 31 March 2026.
The NSW Reconstruction Authority will be available at Community Popup Info Sessions for residents to drop in and talk with our team about applying or to discuss an existing application
