The Kingscliff community has welcomed the start of construction on the upgrade to Kingscliff Public School.
The project will deliver new flexible learning spaces, replacing all classrooms including demountable buildings, as well as a new library, new administration and staff spaces, new outdoor spaces and a redeveloped school entry.
Member for Tweed Geoff Provest said he was pleased to see the project progressing for the community.
“We are delivering on our commitment to bring local students the latest facilities and support the growing school community and this is an exciting addition which will deliver modern resources to local students, now and into the future.”
Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said the NSW Government was committed to delivering new and upgraded schools for communities across the state.
“We’re making the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW and I’m pleased that the Kingscliff students will benefit from this investment,” Ms Mitchell said.
“I know the local member has advocated for this project and I am pleased to that the NSW Liberals & Nationals are delivering this project for the Kingscliff community.
The NSW Government is investing $7.9 billion over the next four years, continuing its program to deliver 215 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
